Bloodpolish Crab 4.9
1 Deep Sea

0
These wavekin cover their claws in blood to make themselves presentable to potential mates. Though this may seem odd, perhaps it is best not to attempt to understand the inner workings of a crab's mind.

[Suitable for printing on small canvases.]

Legend has it that these were once simple blue crabs, which, upon beholding the painted nails of well-groomed merfolk, were consumed with irrational envy. According to their tiny crab brains, a similar effect could be achieved by keeping their claws drenched in blood.
